In her new book Still, Lauren Winner changes most of the names of the characters but I figured out who a lot of them were. She also changes the name of her church but I caught a place where she didn’t. I bet they’ll take that out in future editions.

While I know that memoirs are not autobiographies, that the narrative is structured thematically and not chronologically, and that the goal of memoirs are to tell the reader something and not necessarily to reveal everything about the author, it’s still really jarring to realize that even the basic details have been shaped to better serve the narrative.

All I’m basically saying is that I wish this book had more structure, instead of rambling all the time.
